Everyone wants to have their site rank well in Google.

And why not? Not only can Google send you a boatload of free traffic – it’s also highly targeted, and it’s one of the best ways to drive business.

The problem is, that exact same ideal is shared with thousands of your direct competitors. This creates an environment where you’ll always be fighting, kicking and scratching to maintain your traffic – along with the ever present fear that your livelihood is only one “algorithm update” away from vanishing.

And that’s if you can even get ranked for any decent keyword, to begin with…

In fact, only the largest, most-established authority sites can reliably see consistent traffic from Google. And even then, their rankings fluctuate constantly – several times a day, in some cases.

The fact is – it’s getting harder and harder for the “little guy” to get any kind of meaningful web presence on the web these days.

Getting ranked in Google is almost impossible unless you’ve got a major promotional budget and some time on your hands to “wait” for your domain to become trusted (Google favors older domains). And advertising with pay-per-click ads isn’t affordable like it once was.

Search engines marketing has finally become what everyone feared it would – a game reserved for big business.

But what if there was still a way to legtiimately rank for keywords with tons of traffic?

And what if you could do this without having to spend months and even years building up an authority site to do so?

In fact – what if you could systematically create one-page minisites that could rapidly rank in the top 3 spots (consistently) for basically any keyword you target within a matter of a week or so?

Is this for real?

YES.

But not with Google.

It’s happening right now, as we speak, on MSN.com

Now – before you think it – yes, I know, MSN doesn’t have nearly the reach that Google does. But, it still does receive millions and millions of search users daily. After all – MSN is the default home-page for anyone who first uses Internet Explorer.

And, to put it in perspective, which would drive more traffic?

Occupying the #1 ranking for your most desirable keyword target on MSN?

Or occupying the #47 spot on page 5 of Google’s results?

Sadly, it’s actually more effort to make it to the 47th spot in Google than it is to literally dominate in MSN.

How does this work?

Like I said – forget about Google.

Focus on something that you can actually WIN with, and win big!

Website positioning or SEO is so popular these days and everyone is looking for the secrets on how to move their websites to top 10 in major search engines at no cost . While there are some basic methods as outlined by many SEO gurus . However, do you know without a proper targeted search terms, your website positioning effort is just in vain? In this article, we will going to reveal three proper ways to find the right keywords for your website and they are:

Strategies 1: Keyword Effectiveness Index or KEI

KEI is an indicator to determine the effectiveness of a keyword for your sites. The higher the value of KEI of a keyword is, the more popular of the key phrase is. In other words, the lower value of KEI means the targeted search terms are more competitive. In other words, when there are many websites talk about a subject matter, the value KEI of the keywords should decrease. However, when talking about keyword selection, am indicator such as KEI is not enough. Since the calculation of KEI factor only depends on the websites titles appeared on the search engine results pages and nothing else. So I suggest to use other methods and it is so called Result on Searches factor or R/S factor for simple term.

Method 2: R/S factor

Results on searches factor is a better index to determine if the key phrase is worth your time of optimizing or not. Let’s say your website is about hotel reservation . For a rough check , there are about 22 million websites about this subject when you do a Google search right away . After you have got how many websites there are roughly about, you plugged the search terms “hotel booking” into free keyword tools such as niche explorer, you will find there are about 368 hundred thousand searches in average last year. But , you quickly notice the keyword “hotel booking” with an “s” got higher search volumes but the number of results returned in Google are similar. (Note: the plural form and the singular of your searched terms are different.) So I will rather choose the plural form to optimize than the singular form of the phrase

“hotel booking”. It is because it takes same amount of effort to optimize both of the keywords. Therefore by looking at the R/S factor you will notice some keywords that you never think of are probably better options when talking about search engine placement.

Method 3: Check if There Is Keyword Bid

However, before we start off to optimize the targeted search phrases , we should verify it by looking if there are any advertisers are bidding the search terms that we are targeting. One way to check is by doing a quick Google search and see if there are any right hand side listing with the targeted keywords . If there are many, meanings probably it is a profitable niche and you should immediately take full effort and SEO your keywords.

However, it is just the beginning of your SEO campaign. You should also find out how to design your site as both search engine and user friendly, add proper web page title, as well as meta tags and finally seo link building .
