I recently got tired of my bathroom layout and decided that I needed a change. As my eyes slowly moved around the room I thought that it was about time for some much needed maintainence work as some of the features were starting to fall apart slightly. The housing market is in a terrible state at the moment and it is unlikely that I would be able to sell my property even if I decided that I wanted to. By looking into making basic changes to my bathroom layout I could make it a more relaxing place to bathe and increase the value of my home for the future.

After having a look around my bathroom, I thought there were a few different options I could go for that would not take much effort but would give the bathroom a fresh look. The first things that caught my attention were the bath, toilet and sink as they had started to look like they had corroded and were past their prime. However I soon changed my mind about getting a new fitted bathroom as these were out of my price range plus I could always spend time just cleaning them up. When I looked at the tiles around the bath and shower and realised that I could easily re-tile the walls. It then occurred to me that I could probably do the same with the floor in order to create a visual effect for the whole bathroom layout.

The bathroom tiles on the wall had been there for a while so I headed out to my local DIY shop in search of inspiration. I decided on going for some ceramic floor tiles in black and white in order to design a chequered effect on the floor. I then decided to combine this with black and white marble tiles for the bathroom wall. Instead of going for a check effect I went for blocks of black marble tiles amongst the white marble tiles.

The shop assistant at the bathroom tiles section of the store was very helpful and provided me with some useful advice as how to best lay my floor tiles and bathroom wall tiles without damaging the surface underneath. He also told me the best tile adhesive for both of these tasks and gave me a few hints and tips for using it.

A couple of weeks later and my bathroom has been reinvigorated with life, giving my bathroom a lighter and more modern look without having to hire in tiling contractors. I’ve been so happy with how my bathroom now looks that I have already started looking into taking on my kitchen with my trusty trowel and some ceramic tiles.

There are two basic groups of people who run internet businesses. Those who have a professional attitude and those who don’t.

You can’t generally tell which is which from the amount of money they earn, because many of them are just starting out in the area of internet technology and are making their way gradually towards the levels of income that will enable them to leave their normal jobs and earn from the internet full time.

But you can tell who they are from the level of service you get if you buy from them – especially if you end up having to request a refund for any reason.

Business Opportunities

Some people are wary of offering a money back guarantee. But when it comes to business opportunities it is the very first requirement of adopting a professional attitude. It is a vital part of building a bond of trust between you and your buyers, and if you don’t have it you will be sending out a negative vibe to your buyers and potential buyers.

Just think about this for a moment. If you buy something and want to return it, you will contact the seller. If the seller comes back to you and refuses to refund you, how likely are you to buy something from them in the future?

The chances are your answer is nil.

But what if their attitude was completely different? What if they refunded you without question, and let you know that if they could do anything further to help you could just let them know?

How impressed would you be with someone who expressed such a helpful and professional attitude?

The chances are you would be impressed enough to order from them again in the future – even though your first experience with them led to a refund. Do you see just how important a professional attitude can be to the development of your business?

It not only affects how your customers (and potential customers) see you, it also affects how your fellow affiliate marketers see you. This is extremely important if you are thinking about the prospect of joint ventures or other ways in which you can enter into agreements with other marketers to boost both your businesses.

A Proffessional Attitude

In the end, if your attitude is not as professional as it could be, you may make short term gains but the long term picture will not be as rosy. If on the other hand you are determined to present a professional attitude from the word go, you will experience better results overall. It might take longer in some cases, but when the ball really starts to roll you’ll have trouble stopping it!

And why would you want to?

We hear a lot about different affiliate schemes when we are surfing the web in search of information, and we hear a lot about how successful certain people are. But we rarely hear about their attitude to their business, and how professional (or not) certain people tend to be.

This doesn’t mean it is no less important than any other aspect of someone’s internet marketing business however. As we have seen, it is arguably the most important part of all.

If you are getting ready to go on a new vegetable garden venture, you need to prepare your soil to ideally house your plants. The best thing you can do in the soil preparation process is to reach the perfect mixture of sand, silt, and clay. Preferably there would be 40 percent sand, 40 percent silt, and 20 percent clay. There are several tests used by experienced gardeners to tell whether the soil has a good composition. First you can compress it in your hand. If it does not hold its shape and crumbles without any outside force, your sand ratio is probably a little high. If you poke the compressed ball with your finger and it does not fall apart easily, your soil contains too much clay.

If you are still not sure about the content of your soil, you can separate each ingredient by using this simple method. Put a cup or two of dirt into a jar of water. Shake the water up until the soil is suspended, then let it set until you see it separate into 3 separate layers. The top layer is clay, the next is silt, and on the bottom is sand. You should be able to judge the presence of each component within your dirt, and act accordingly.

After you have analyzed the content of your soil, if you decide that it is low on a certain ingredient then you should definitely do something to fix it. If dealing with too much silt or sand, it is best to add some peat moss or compost. If you have got too much clay, add a mixture of peat moss and sand. The peat moss, when moistens, helps for the new ingredient to infiltrate the mixture better. If you can not seem to manage to attain a proper mixture, just head down to your local gardening store. You should be able to find some kind of soil product to aid you.

The water content of the soil is another important thing to consider when preparing for your garden. If your garden is at the bottom of an incline, it is most likely going to absorb too much water and drown out the plants. If this is the case, you should probably elevate your garden a few inches (4 or 5) over the rest of the ground. This will allow for more drainage and less saturation.

Adding nutrients to your soil is also a vital part of the process, as most urban soils have little to no nutrients already in them naturally. One to two weeks prior to planting, you should add a good amount of fertilizer to your garden. Mix it in really well and let it sit for a while. Once you have done this, your soil will be completely ready for whatever seeds you may plant in it.

Once your seeds are planted, you still want to pay attention to the soil. The first few weeks, the seeds are desperately using up all the nutrients around them to sprout into a real plant. If they run out of food, how are they supposed to grow? About a week after planting, you should add the same amount of fertilizer that you added before. After this you should continue to use fertilizer, but not as often. If you add a tiny bit every couple of weeks, that should be plenty to keep your garden thriving.

Basically, the entire process of soil care can be compressed into just several steps to ensure the makeup of the soil is satisfactory, make sure you have proper drainage in your garden, add fertilizer before and after planting, then add fertilizer regularly after that. Follow these simple steps, and you will have a plethora of healthy plants in no time. And if you need any more details on an individual step, just go to your local nursery and enquire there. Most of the employees will be more than happy to give you advice.
