The latest technology for laser hair removal is a certified Polylase Alexandrite medical grade laser. Since these lasers deliver light at one specific wavelength, rather than a wider range of frequencies, the energy that can be used is much more effective in preventing growth from the hair follicle.

Laser treatments are safe, pain-free and very reasonable compared to alternative systems.

You will be more effectively treated per visit with a laser and will therefore need fewer sessions than with other light based systems.

The Polylase laser uses a special cooling system that reduces the temperature of the skin during, and after laser exposure. Therefore, the laser hair treatment is generally not painful and is well tolerated. Some patients have compared the treatment to the sensation of the snap of a rubber band.

Be sure the laser hair removal treatment you choose is with a genuine laser and not intense pulsed light. Most clinics cannot use a genuine laser due to the cost of the equipment and the strict licencing requirements, and try to claim that intense pulsed light machine is just as good.

This treatment is suitable for both females and males and great for people that suffer with ingrown hairs.

The requirements to own and operate lasers in Queensland is highly regulated. There are only a handful of clinics who are fully licensed. Make sure the service provider you visit uses laser operators who are fully licensed and accredited by the Queensland department of Health. BSIBL120409

What are the alternatives when pain strikes. This can very much depend on the severity of the pain, and the location the pain is occurring . If the pain is a mild headache, toothache or a pain where you know the cause, such as a fall or graze, then an over the counter pain killer will usually be enough. For toothache pain medication containing Ibuprofen is the best choice, toothache is often accompanied by inflammation in the troubled area, Ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory and therefore helps to decrease the inflammation. If the pain persists you should seek medical attention, as the pain could be the symptom of a more serious medical problem. Pain is how your body tells you that something is amiss, don’t ignore this message if pain is persistant.

Pain can be separated into two types, chronic and acute pain. Acute pain is usually a short term pain that goes away without treatment, it has no serious underlying problems associated with it and normally requires nothing more than over the counter analgesics. Chronic pain though is much more serious, it usually persists and is likely to be associated with a more serious underlying condition or injury. It can often begin from something like a sprain or infection that eventually becomes more serious, or it can be caused by a developing disease or cancer. Chronic pain can remain a problem for months, or even years. As well as a requirement to treat the underlying problem, pain killers that are stronger than normal pain medication is normally required. Among the most prescribed pain medications include tramadol, ultram and ultracet, with tramadol being the most common prescribed. These pain medications aren’t scheduled as controlled substances, it is therefore possible to buy tramadol online. In many cases pain killers are prescribed along with other treatments to treat the cause of the problem.

Probably the commonest type of pain we experience is headaches. Headaches may well disappear without recourse to any treatment, normal pain medication will usually be enough to ease the pain. Migraine is a much more severe form of headache and can be caused by various underlying conditions. A migraine can be accompanied by other conditions, such as changing moods, sensitivity to light, one sided headaches and nausea or vomiting. A migraine can last for a few hours, but might last for a few days. Anyone experiencing a migraine should seek medical attention.

For pain associated with muscles and joints, physiotherapy is often used as a treatment, and in many cases can result in the complete cure of the underlying problem. Electrical stimulation is a technique used, sometimes as a last resort. Electrical stimulation interrupts pain signals inside the spinal cord. Acupuncture may be used to reduce pain, fine needles are entered at key points on the body, the needles disrupt the flow of spasms through the body. Fine needles may be placed in regions removed from the source of the pain.

The main thing to consider, is that if a pain becomes serious, especially if it persists, seek immediate medical attention, it could be down to a more serious underlying problem.
