Leading backsplash tile supplier My Tile Backsplash is pleased to announce the addition of both the Sandgate and Dorset Collection from Questech to there vast selection of backsplash material.

The Sandgate and Dorset Collection offers an array of decorative accents in both a natural stone and a metal look. Each Series has three different categories within each of the Sandgate and Dorset lines.

Questech Metals – Questech invented a breakthrough technology, a process for casting beautiful metal objects at a fraction of the weight and cost of solid metals. This discovery led to the launch of the industry’s first mass produced metal tiles, creating an important new category in the tile and home improvement markets. The difference between the two series of Sandgate and Dorset Collections is the style offerings between them. The colors that are offered are the same, just different designs between the two series.

Questech Cast Stone – Questech broke the mold again, with their revolutionary product of the cast stone series. These decorative pieces have a resemblance of natural stone with the look of travertine and marble. The product offering in this category is phenomenal. The selection includes everything from a 2″ x 2″ to a large 16″ x 24″ mural. Again, the color offering between the Sandgate and the Dorset collection are the same, just the different designs associated with each series.

Questech Natural Stone – This includes a factory-sealed tumbled marble collection offered in both Castle Wheat and Casa Emperador. Tumbled marble tiles have better wear properties, warmer feels, softer appearance and a matte finish. Tumbled Marble with Q-Seal provides a built-in anti-bacterial protection. Ultra-Fresh inhibits the growth of stain and odor causing mold and mildew. It is factory applied and will not lose its effectiveness over time. The added anti-bacterial protection makes the tiles ideal for showers, tub surrounds and kitchen backsplashes. They will never be the worry of having to reseal the tiles or worry about special stone cleaners.

As with all the products from Questech, each and every one of the products is sealed with their Q-Seal. The fear of sealing or water-damaged products does not exist with the Questech product line.

There are currently two Cuisinart rice cookers: the 4-cup Cuisinart CRC-400 and the 8-cup Cuisinart Rice Cooker CRC-800. These two rice cookers almost look identical, the size being the only major difference. They have a nice-looking brushed stainless steel exterior. Both have a stainless steel basket and nonstick bowl, perfect for steaming veggies, seafood, or poultry.

The Cuisinart CRC-400 and the CRC-800 are good rice cookers because they have a boiling method that’s easy to use. They come with measuring cup, plastic rice spoon, and glass top lid (removable). Each also includes a manual with easy to follow recipes. But they don’t feature the Fuzzy Logic technology. They also don’t have advanced settings for various types of rice. Another lacking is the programmable timer. Despite the lack of features, these rice cookers can cook a nice bowl of rice. However, many rice cooker experts say that Cuisinart rice cookers do not give that much value.

Cuisinart 4-cup CRC-400

The CRC-400′s stylish design is a plus. It’s as small as an economic 2-slice toaster, so it won’t take up a lot of counter room. It fits in quite nicely regardless of your kitchen decor. Another thing I like about it is the fact that it’s super easy to clean and many of its parts are dishwasher-friendly. In addition, you can cook rice with this rice cooker with less time.

The Bad: There are some consumer complaints about spill over. But there’s a trick to avoid that: Rinse the rice first. And then add a teaspoon of vegetable oil for each cup of rice. It usually works.

The 4-cup CRC-400 has a small steaming tray that can only steam limited quantity of vegetables and seafood. It’s only good for a single person or a couple. I also have reservations about the learning curve. However, this model works just fine once you get past this issue. This cooker catches up with other rice cookers available in the market.

8-cup CRC-800

The Cuisinart 8-cup CRC-800 looks stylish and smooth feel. The outside of this rice cooker sports a brushed and sleek stainless steel. It’s a good looking cooker to have in you kitchen. You don’t have to worry about its handles since it’s chrome plated and touch friendly.Your hands won’t get burned when you move the cooker.

The 8-cup version comes with the usual lever control with cook and warm settings and a retractable cord storage. It also includes a really nice rice paddle and a plastic measuring cup. It comes with a 3-year warranty.

But this the rice sticks with this cooker, despite its pot’s nonstick coating. The manual instructs you to spray the bowl’s bottom in order to prevent the sticking. Still, a nonstick bowl should be nonstick, whether you spray it or not. Still, many consumers say they have no problem with rice sticking.

Many consumers complain that the 8-cup CRC-800 has some minor splattering issues like the 4-cup CRC-400. True, this rice cooker tries to prevent spilling over with its steam vent. It won’t spill if you don’t cook more than 6 cups. Splattering is an issue when you cook too much rice, about 8 cups.

Did you know that cash flow deficiencies are the main reason most companies go out of business?

If you are seriously interested in making your business a success, then managing your money effectively is critical to the security of your organisation.Even if you have a small home based business, or manage a multi million pound company such as the sorts of companies I deal with, like Softcat for example who specialise in Mimecast licensing, tightly managed finances and a positive cash flow, are key to business success.

When starting a new business it might seem impossible to put together a budget without any financial history on which to base income and expenses. However a business plan, before you even start, with some idea of costs and revenues is essential to determining the viability of a business, even if you are just planning to setup a work at home business. It might seem like guesswork at the beginning, but a tentative budget can be established with some thought and projections of future business. From some past experience in renovating properties, I always say ‘think of a figure and double it’ and then you will be near the mark. I think this is true for other businesses, because it’s human nature to underestimate what we need to spend and over estimate what we will earn.

As is the way with all businesses at web design Nottingham we have the same two areas of business finance, the income and the expenses.

Under the expense category there can be several sub-categories often falling into two main areas of controllable expenses and uncontrollable. While many business owners believe they can control every expense involved in their business, this is not always the case. Some things such as services costs, the amount of rent and other supposed fixed costs can, and do change, with the owner having no control. For example the recent increase in oil prices are an example of this and have been responsible for a number of small airline and transportation companies going out of business as their fuel costs skyrocketed.

Other expenses such as payroll, transportation and advertising can be subject to a budget, but they are considered controllable expenses. If the business begins to fall off, you can control some of these expenses by laying-off employees and cutting back on advertising. However, living by a budget may help maintain profitability but could also turn against you in the long run.

Depending on the viability of your company it may be a better investment to bite the financial bullet on employee wages and still provide excellent customer service to the remaining customers until business picks up again. If no one takes care of the customers, it will not be long until there are no more customers to care for.

There are two ways to budget your business money and these are through set dollar amounts or as a percentage of revenue. Many businesses will budget their controllable expenses by the dollar and non-controllable by percentage of income. Obviously a good part of the owner’s time is going to be based on bringing money into the business and how much they have to spend on controllable expenses will be in direct relation to income. With any increase in business the owner will probably need the extra help to take care of the business so a percentage of income will go to more wages, thus freeing the owner to focus on generating additional revenue.

There are many other expenses that fall into the payroll account such as worker’s compensation charges, Social Security tax paid by the employer and paid vacation time or other perks determined by the employer. These need to be calculated into costs when recruiting people into the business.

While you may think a budget is difficult to establish for a new business, it is essential to establish a healthy and sound financial footing on which success can be built for the coming years.
