If you’ve been hesitating setting up your brand new wordpress blog then you’ve come to the right place. I first started building websites back in 2004, and had absolutely no idea what to do. I wasn’t even sure how to go about finding information like this, so I eventually ended up using Frontpage. Now I know alot of people love that but we just did not get along so well!

Eventually I got that site up. I was studying how to build an affiliate site and had even taken a class on how to use Windows the month before. I was using these horrible and expensive templates that I had to adjust the bottom color for after every single article was added. I only wish that I had found a site like the one you’re on back then.

I had no idea on how to even copy and paste until then either. It seems that you really do need to know how to build a web page or site these days if you hope to succeed at just about anything online. Now I can set up and configure a brand new blog with WordPress in a matter of minutes and have it looking great. Need to know how to set up Feedburner on it..? How to change the look and feel of your site so it’s not the same old thing everyone else has..?

How about optimizing it for search engines so you get better rankings assuming you’re a marketer..? How to create a wordpress blog for free will give you the confidence to follow in my footsteps- and quickly too. And did I mention it was free to download..?

The titans of the software development industry are about to engage in a competitive battle with the makers behind Nintendo’s Wii Fit technology. Last May 19, 2009, a new software called the Wii Active infiltrated the market. This will be placed directly to compete with Nintendo’s Wii Fit. EA’s Wii Active Life aims to target women who want to participate in a variety of exercise games without having to leave their own home. Several people think this new product will upstage Wii Fit for a number of reasons:

1. The asking price will be $30 less than Wii Fit’s current asking price of $90.

2. There are no balance boards included in the exercise program. Sometimes, these things can pose as a hindrance for the person doing the entire workout routine simply because they worry half the time about not falling from the small platform.

3. Instead of the balance boards, power bands and nunchuk pockets are the two main accessories for the entire program.

4. There are more than 20 exercises and motivational challenges to start with.

5. Trainers in the program were patterned after some of the biggest star’s trainers to make the entire regimen more believable.

Many of its expert critiques believe that if EA can figure out a way to accurately judge Body Fat in percentage form, Wii Fit could have a real contender and competition on its hands. Right now, it looks like the first model still needs a number of adjustments. Nonetheless, it has great potential to soar ahead of the Wii Fit.

In fact, if you want to have real fun and keep fit all at the same time, then you really need to take part in the Wii Active Life Outdoor Challenge!

Times have changed on the internet and back when you thought coding couldn’t be made any easier for you to style your websites you were badly wrong. CSS has taken the basic HTML coding to the next level and again when you thought your coding couldn’t look any neater, you were wrong. CSS doesn’t need the likes of HTML tables and what a fantastic advantage CSS is and i’ll explain why.

In the old days of HTML coding, website designers would have to use the HTML tables tags which made the coding look a mess, not only that without the use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) coders would be coding for a lot longer which means a lot of time was wasted and a lot of headaches and hair pulling would occur. This all stopped when CSS was introduced and don’t get me wrong, a lot of cross browser problems still occur but it’s such a good transformation to the industry all this is worth it.

Cross browser problems do occur a lot more frequent with the use of CSS because some browsers compile the CSS functions differently and cause the website to be displayed differently between most common browsers such as IE7 and FF. There are many myths and different information on the internet which discusses cross browser compatibility and how coders should only code for the latest browers which are the likes of IE8, FF, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari etc. None of this information is true and if you do only code for the latest browsers, a huge percentage of internet viewers still use Internet Explorer 6 so you’re not catering for a huge amount of internet users who can’t view the sites you code properly.

There are many hacks and different CSS functions you can use to cater for the whole internet browsing industry and all you need to do is learn to code for one browser such as FF (as recommended by professionals, given that IE7 doesn’t compile the codes correctly) then once you’ve mastered to code for one browser you can make the specific changes so your site is viewable in all browsers and on all systems.
