Are you a bow hunting newbie? When beginning there are a ton of things to pay attention to in regarding the care you need to take when hunting.

If you find this too much, I know how it can feel. It took me a year to feel at ease in handling my Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, Martin hunting bow. With a bow like this you simply can’t be too careful, so I have decided to share a few tips you should be aware of when it relates to hunting with a bow:

1. Be sure your compound bow is in a decent state prior to heading out. Make certain there aren’t any hairline breaks in the body of the bow and that the bow string isn’t fraying on you… believe me… that can hurt a lot if it snaps.

2. Pay attention to your arrows and quiver and ensure your quiver is not busted.

3. Pay attention to the environment. If you’re out hunting ALWAYS be conscious of your partners. You don’t want to shoot them thinking they are an animal… it has occured and it most certainly will happen again, but you don’t want to be the culprit.

4. Please practice before you head on a hunt. If you’re brand new, make certain you go and perhaps try taking some classes or learn from a knowledgeable bow hunter. Is a very dangerous weapon… you have to make sure you know the way to handle it safely.

At any rate, these are some tips that I’d give a beginning who wants to learn how to hunt with a bow. It is imperative you learn how to deal with your weapon and do so with care and attention.
