Choosing the perfect halo diamond engagement rings can be overwhelming, especially because of the numerous varieties available. It’s best that you get yourself acquainted with the styles and settings of the engagement rings so that you know more and are able to segregate easily between what you want and what you don’t.

The basic styles of a diamond halo ring are:

Solitaire: It’s the epitome of all the rings styles, something your sweet heart must have surely envisioned for herself. In this a diamond or some other gemstone is set- up a little higher above the others and garners the maximum attention in the ring. Since the most prominent stone in these rings is generally substantial in size these are more expensive too.

Bridal Set: In these sets you get the ring along with the matching wedding band. Some sets also include the groom’s wedding band. This choice is rather economical and you will have the bridal jewelry set in perfect harmony. However the designs available in these may not be as myriad as the others, taking a chunk of individuality away from your choice of the ring. However if you know your fiance would like to wear both the wedding band and the engagement ring together then this is a perfect choice.

Finding a great diamond is a process that could take months. Research and use the information. By this, I mean that if you must ask questions of the salesperson, and you must, do not ask foolish questions that give away your lack of knowledge. Diamonds range in appearance from colorless to black. Even so, almost all diamonds have a slight to heavy yellow tinge. The clearer the color, or in this case, lack of color, the purer the diamond. This is why some diamonds are set in yellow gold. The gold background helps to mask the yellow of the diamond. A clear, pure diamond will stand out strikingly from others of poor quality, and the best ones can go into white gold or platinum halo engagement rings. Look for that diamond that stands out.

Eternity band: This band signifies the two souls bound together by unending love. It consists of a continuous band which has been encrusted with diamonds all along. A prong setting might be used to accentuate the diamonds. You have to be mindful of the size of these bands as they cannot be re-sized.

Semi-eternity band: This type of engagement ring is similar to the eternity band but instead of the whole band being covered by diamonds, only a part of the band has them. This type of setting provides the beauty of the eternity band at a reduced price.
