I would like to share information on tinnitus in the hope that you can get it under control. In case the term is not familiar to you, it simply means a state where one hears ringing sounds not created by an external cause. You hear a ringing sound that is not caused by actual external noise. Living with this condition–constant sound–can be stress-inducing and debilitating. There’s no relief from the condition, even when you are trying to sleep. I shall demonstrate how to control tinnitus so that your life will not be affected by this ailment.

Doctors have several theories about the cause of tinnitus, but the most probable cause is due to exposure to loud noises. Usually people who have fought in wars suffer from this ailment due to the loud noises present in the battlefield.

The remedy recommended by the medical experts is to undergo surgery. The result is an operation on your ear which may be dangerous. You may possibly wake to the absence of the ringing but most don’t.

It is possible to control tinnitus by ignoring it. The truth is our brain is wired to do these things. Currently there are millions of sensations that stimulate all of the senses you have. So your brain filters what you’re going to smell, taste, see, hear, and feel, obviously your conscious mind can’t be bothered with all of them. There is a therapy which can teach you how to unconsciously ignore the sound of the ring. A basic exercise will make it work. On reading the newspaper with intense attention, you should realize that you are not hearing any ring. If you keep that up, your mind will eventually not even acknowledge the tinnitus.

Repetitive exposure to loud music especially in nightclubs, unhealthy food and lifestyle are notable reasons for tinnitus amongst teenagers.

The opinions found here is for research purposes only. No advice is implied. As with any condition it is recommended for you to consult a doctor before taking any medical advice.
