Why do you need to stop smoking? smoking is never a forever thing. Eventually, smoking will take your life before you even know it. I have heard of many many stories of people who smoked all their life , but would give anything to get that second chance to quit. On a commercial, a twenty one year old woman had her voice box removed. She was telling every one what had happen off of poster boards. That to me, was absoloutely devastating to see. She is only twenty one years old, and she cant talk. If that doesnt changes any smokers mind then i dont know what can. You are so young in your life and now, its ruin. To me personally, smokiing isnt worth it. There are numerous reasons why people start smoking. It could be because of stressed out and wanting to kill yourself, or trying to fit in with everyone in the crowd. I see teens every day hanging with people so they could be cool. They try to be funny, bully other teens, just to feel like the others. Once they get to involved in the crowd, they begin to get immuned to the environment and before they know it, there’re smoking every thing from weed, cigarettes, and who knows what. There are so many things to get addicted to, that it makes know since. This more than likely, leads to the most devastating news any family member never wants to hear. That is cancer. Most cases of lung cancer death, close to 90% of men, and 80% of women, are mainly caused by smoking cigarettes. Lung cancer is the most deadliest cancer out there. Most smokers arent actually aware of this statistics because they dont want to educate themselves on what they are inhaling into there helpless bodies. I believe that if they knew what the dangers were of smoking, the number of deaths would slightly drop. There would still be others who dont listen and will have to learn from experience. I sort of feel sorry for those who have to find out like that but, if thats what it takes to get the point across, go for it. Cancer is never a disease you want to have forever. It kills you physically, Faithfully,and most of all emotionally. Your family suffers quite abit and no one wants that. If you are thinking about trying to, think again. Then wants you think about it, think about it again the second time because once you have that cancer there is no more thinking.
People try to stop smoking in many different ways. The first time that most people try and quit, they do it the old fashioned way. They throw their cigarettes in the trash and promise themselves that the last cigarette they smoked will be their last one for life.
